Chocolate Protein Smoothie

Finding healthy treats can be difficult?  I’ve got you covered this week with my Chocolate Protein Smoothie.

This smoothie is a yummy, sweet treat, but it’s also full of antioxidants, protein, and healthy fats.

Collagen peptides are a highly bioavailable form of collagen. They act as building blocks, renewing bodily tissues, such as skin, bones, and joints.

Collagen peptides may act as a messenger to the cells and trigger the synthesis and reorganization of new collagen fibers, thereby supporting our tissue structure.

They are also a good source of protein, along with the hemp seeds. AND if you’re participating in my challenge to include more avocado in your diet, then this recipe is just one more great way you can do that!

Give this healthy fat- and protein-packed smoothie a try this week!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Coconut Milk (or favorite milk alternative)
  • 1 1/2 Bananas
  • 1 TBS Collagen Peptides
  • 3 TBS Hemp Seeds shelled
  • 2 Dates, pitted
  • 2–3 tsp Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1/2 Avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup Spinach Leaves
  • 3–4 Cubes of Ice

Optional: Raw Cacao Nibs for Garnish

Instructions:

Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender and process until creamy and smooth – about 45 seconds. Drink and enjoy!

  1. This recipe sounds delicious! I need to watch sugar consumption so the banana and date combination would put me over the edge. I think I would take out the dates.
