Glow Monday Challenge: Visualization Challenge

What do Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oprah, Jim Carrey, Lindsey Vonn (Olympic Gold Medalist), and Will Smith all have in common?

They ALL practice visualization for success.

Visualization is a simple yet incredibly powerful technique for growth and self-development.

That doesn’t mean if you think about something, it’ll magically appear right in front of you. But just ask any elite athlete or high performer… if you practice visualization regularly, you’ll be a LOT more likely to achieve your goals with a lot less effort.

Studies have shown that visualization will literally help your mind create a neural pattern for whatever it is you’re visualizing.

This means that you’re training your brain for physical performance even though you’re not taking any physical action!

There are two types of visualization. One focuses on the outcome and the other on the process itself. But they are usually most effective when practiced together.

That’s why your challenge this week is to think about a goal that is really important to you and VISUALIZE your success in reaching that goal.

Visualize yourself going through each and every movement with detail and precision. Visualize your success at the end- and don’t leave out a single detail. The more specific you can get the better.

Here’s a great article by Jack Canfield to check out for more information.

Remember- visualization can’t replace hard work and practice, but combined with it, it will absolutelyincrease your chances of achieving your goals.

For this challenge, I want you to block off 5 minutes each day this week to dedicate to visualizing your success on something that is really important to you.

If it truly is important, this could be one of the most life-changing exercises you ever do.

  4. I love this challenge! After the coaching call today and talking a bit about the importance of mindset, I got on the Facebook group and saw this post. It’s exactly what I need to reset myself. As winter sets in, I tend to want to shut down like a bear wanting to hibernate. Things seem darker than they are and my energy is lower. I can become negative and this sets me back. I feel like this was such a Big Save! Thank you! I’m back to remembering what I wanted to accomplish when I signed up with The Glow Protocol and went through the first 2 modules. I feel the energy needed to take great care of me in all areas of my life. Im waking up refreshed, and drinking my lemon water first thing as I pet my dog and get and give love. I’m meditating, breathing in calm and focusing on now, letting go of the past and not worrying about what’s to come. Im doing yoga or going to the warm water pool to stretch my body and breathe in strength and breathe out pain and tightness. I’m eating my healthy favorites and hanging out with friends and family that fill me up/ I see my big smile and feel their love! I go to bed each night with a greatful heart and sleep well. It’s all these little things that add up and move us toward health. I’ll be kind to myself, but stay with it! To be successful and detailed so I can really visualize the goal, each day I’ll visualize myself doing something that’s going well and celebrate that as I see myself doing it to remind myself that I can and have made positive changes for myself. I’ll end with a challenge and see, hear, feel, and maybe even taste or smell my success. I’ll repeat that goal until I’m successful.
