Visualization Challenge

The Visualization Challenge

For the better part of 2020, we’ve all experienced significant changes in our schedules, really teaching us that we can only take life one day at a time.

Now with the year coming to a close and a new one about to begin, I cannot think of a better time to visualize our ideal lives.

This week, I’d like to offer you a visualization tool, as I believe that together we can make a shift in global consciousness and create more positivity in our everyday lives.

WHAT IS VISUALIZATION?

Visualization is a tool to help us imagine as clearly as possible what we want to happen… as if it has already happened or is already happening.

Through visualization, you create an inner experience of what it would be like to have your desire come true. This challenge is designed to encourage you to visualize boldly and without limitation.

THE CHALLENGE

Below I have laid out a visualization technique that should be practiced each day, and 7 different journal prompts (one for each night) to help you visualize a life filled with peace, gratitude, compassion, abundance, and acceptance.

It is recommended to practice the visualization exercise each day before journaling about the daily prompt.

Utilize these tools as they feel best for you, practice grace when needed, and remember to go easy on yourself. We are all experiencing life differently and we are here for you above all else.

VISUALIZATION PRACTICE: CREATE YOUR IDEAL SCENE

Think of a goal that is important to you.

Once you have a clear goal in your mind, Grab a notebook or piece of paper and in writing, describe the situation exactly how you would like it to be until your goal is actualized.

Imagine the scene in the present tense, as if it already exists and in as much detail as you’d like.

When you’ve finished writing your scene, write underneath it, “I believe that I have the power to make this a reality.”

Now sit quietly, relax, and visualize your ideal scene in your head.

DAILY JOURNALING PROMPTS

DAY 1: GRATITUDE
List 10 people that you are grateful for. They can be friends, family members, or people that you admire. Think about the characteristics that you’re grateful for.

DAY 2: ABUNDANCE
What are some things you want to attract into your life? (Remember to think openly and without limitation, the goal is to think in full abundance.)

DAY 3: PEACE
What does peace look like to you? Take some time to visualize a peaceful hour, day, week, and life. What characteristics do you notice about peace?

DAY 4: COMPASSION
Think of some ways you’d like to receive compassion in your own life. How can you practice being a more compassionate person in your everyday life?

DAY 5: ABUNDANCE
Where in your life do you feel most abundant? Take a few moments to think about how abundant you really are.

Acknowledge your gifts, presents, and privileges and jot them down.

DAY 6: GRATITUDE
Today, take some time to observe your feelings. At the end of the day, write down a list of things you are grateful for—it can be as little as 3 things or as many as you’d like.

Next to each thing you’re grateful for, write down why you’re grateful for it! Take a moment to thank everything you wrote down.

DAY 7: ACCEPTANCE
How do you define acceptance? Are there things that you have trouble accepting?

Make a list of things that you have trouble accepting. Of that list, is there anything on there that when you write them down, they feel small or insignificant?

Write down ways to make peace with the things you have trouble accepting.

I hope that this visualization challenge will be eye-opening for you! I encourage you to build upon this practice and continue to visualize and use your imagination to manifest your ideal lives.
